Go Global! The 6 Best Translation Apps for Language Learners Go Global! The 6 Best Translation Apps for Language Learners If you want my opinion, you’re not doing bad at all with your new language learning. You’ve got the basics down, you can conjugate without too much trouble and you feel pretty sure you’re on the road to success. That’s all great, but…  Are you chatting like a local? Almost? Or do you often get stuck for a word or phrase? Are you reading like a pro? Nearly? Or maybe a paragraph here and there just doesn’t make sense? And are you totally into watching movies in your new language? Mostly? Or did that super-important exchange just go over your head?No worries. We’ve all been there.Learning a new language isn’t always easy, but with the right resources, its more adventure than challenge. Believe me, I speak from experience.Sometimes it’s all about the tools you have to learn a languageâ€"and in this case, Im talking about one tool in particular: translation apps! Why should I use a translation app? Isnt that cheating? Why do people use translation apps? Basically, they work great to solve the language issues and missing bits you may come across when youre chatting, reading or watching TV or movies. They step right up and eliminate guesswork. Also, they facilitate communication. And that, really, is the reason so many of us study foreign languages. We want to communicate effectively with others. Translation apps take the stumbling out of conversations and eliminate the need for silly hand gestures! No more flailing your fingers in an attempt to sign what you’re trying to say! There are as many reasons to use these apps as there are language learnersâ€"and sometimes reasons for using language apps can even be surprising. Sometimes, the reason is love!On the go or in class, there are moments when you need a word or phrase right away. With an app in hand, you’re ready to handle life like a boss.Oui, you can find the right  French phrase. ¡No problema! deciphering that Spanish phrase.Ciao! to Italian guesswork.Floundering over a Japanese word? Say Sayona ra! to translation troubles. Are  Russian phrases giving you fits? Nyet! Not anymore.Language speed bumps are exactly why translation apps are important. They get you out of those tricky situations, and are always at hand!Of course, the danger of translation apps is that youll get so comfortable using them that they take away your motivation for actually learning the language. But theres an easy fix for that: FluentU.FluentU takes fun, real-world videosâ€"like movie trailers, music videos, news and inspiring talksâ€"and turns them into personalized language lessons. Use your translation app as needed while on the go, and use FluentU to make sure your in-depth language practice is both painless and regular.FluentU makes it possible to learn languages from music videos, commercials, news, inspiring talks and more. With FluentU, you hear languages in real-world contextsâ€"the way that native speakers actually use them. Just a quick look will give you an idea of the variety of FluentU vid eos on offer:FluentU really takes the grunt work out of learning languages, leaving you with nothing but engaging, effective and efficient learning. It’s already hand-picked the best videos for you and organized them by level and topic. All you have to do is choose any video that strikes your fancy to get started! Each word in the interactive captions comes with a definition, audio, image, example sentences and more.Access a complete interactive transcript of every video under the Dialogue tab, and easily review words and phrases from the video under Vocab. You can use FluentU’s unique adaptive quizzes to learn the vocabulary and phrases from the video through fun questions and exercises. Just swipe left or right to see more examples of the word youre studying. The program even keeps track of what you’re learning and tells you exactly when it’s time for review, giving you a 100% personalized experience.Start using FluentU on the website with your computer or tablet or, better y et, download the FluentU app from the iTunes store or Google Play store. How do I choose a translation app? There are many translation apps to chose from. But beware, not all are created equal. There are several factors to consider when tracking down the best app for your situation. What, then, makes a good translation app?First, consider price. Some, but not all, are free. Unless you’re rolling in the green stuff, most of us can’t afford to not factor this budgetary issue into our equation. Compare costs before downloading. The translations themselves deserve consideration. How does the app present the language? More importantly, how do you intend to use the translations? Are you looking for literal translations, or are idiomatic expressions okay? What languages are offered? Does the app translate to and from a language quickly? Also, is the to-from language option easily interchangeable? For me, this is a tiny feature that makes a big difference. I like to be able to input either l anguage without too much trouble. Not all apps are available on all devices. This is another factor that can pare down your list of choices.Do you always have your phone in your hand? Then a logical choice would be an app that allows you to look up what you need on that constant companion. If you’re more a tablet user, consider apps for the device you consistently carry.Just like with any other aspect of your life, you need to evaluate your options. Then, decide which features matter most to you and choose the app that’s the best fit.The good news is that weve already done the legwork for you! After investigating, comparing and prioritizing features, we’ve narrowed the field to the most widely beneficial translation apps.Go Global! Business, pleasure, learning or romanceâ€"you’re covered! And remember, every new phrase learned and any roadblock overcome takes you that much closer to being fluent in your target language. The Best Way to Learn a Language Playing Games!

The Best Way to Learn a Language Playing Games! Does learning a language always have to be so tedious and boring? The answer is a resounding No!.Mastering a new language should be challenging, but nobody ever said it has to be dull.Learning a new language can be really enjoyable when your approach to learning is geared towards having fun! Nowadays, we can learn languages through social media, movies  or even by playing games!Any form of education can be quite dull when you approach learning through repetitive rote learning methods. This creates a poor (and lackluster) learning pattern, which will usually lead to smaller amounts of progress. So throw out your old boring learning techniques and lend me your ears (or eyes in this case), as we explore how to learn a language by playing games and having fun! Such games can be played through apps on your smartphone, games on the internet, a handheld game console, computer gamesâ€"basically whatever you have and enjoy! Learning While Having Fun: The Ultimate CombinationThere is a common misconception that proper learning should be serious and solemn in nature, and if one is having fun then theyre not truly learning. Games provide an alternative route to learning a language while providing a pleasurable method to do so.The idea of learning no longer means rote memorizationâ€"it instead means acquiring the skills necessary to be able to respond appropriately in another language, when under pressure in various circumstances. Games can help deliver these benefits in the most entertaining way. Therefore as you delight in playing a game, you can enjoy yourself while unconsciously acquiring an array of language skills! The use of games can be a fantastic learning tool to advance in any language. In this approach, youre winning in the game by learning more of your target language. How Games Can Really Help Learn a LanguageThere is an old Chinese proverb that describes the beauty of learning languages through games: Tell me, and Ill forget. Show me, and I may remember. Involv e me, and Ill understand.  The best language games are designed to involve you  in different ways of using the language. These games offer a dynamic learning atmosphere, so it really comes down to youâ€"the game playerâ€"to benefit from playing the game. You can choose to play when the time works best for you and enjoy the time you spend learning your target language. The best part is that while youre absorbed in the game, youre actually learning. So rather than pay attention to standard learning, you simply focus on doing well in the game (which also requires strategic thinking, by the way, which can further improve your proficiency).Games also provide a great personal way to learn the language without any fear of making mistakes with the language in public. You can refine your skills with pronunciation, spelling, grammar and syntax all at your leisure. In the game-orientated context, you engage with the language in several ways by writing, listening, speaking and understandingâ€"wh ich all help generate speech fluency.Furthermore, learning through games actually motivates you to learn more of the language! When you love playing the game in your free time, that element of enjoyable competitiveness works as a catalyst to get you practicing the language more frequently. To progress in the game involves learning more of the language, so as you reach higher levels in the game, you also reach higher skill levels in your target language. The Benefits of Learning a Language Through GamesResearch was conducted in 2003 by the language acquisition experts, Asian EFL Journal. The research considered the effectiveness of game-based education methods on students when learning a new language. The students commented that they enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere the games provided, as well as the competitiveness and motivation that games brought to the learning environment. It was further observed by the teachers that the students actually seemed to learn at an increased pace and ret ain the information gained through playing games compared to learning through rote methods. The research confirmed that games are a highly effective tool to language acquisition. Thus far, weve already  seen numerous benefits of playing language games, so heres a brief summary:Time effectiveA welcome break from the usual method of educationFun and enjoyableProvides meaningful context for language useIncreases learning motivationPromotes communicative competenceReduces anxiety of making errorsIntegrates numerous linguistic skills: reading, listening, speaking and writingEncourages players to use the languageCreates positive attitudes towards learningThe results of education through gamification speak for themselves. Games are used extensively in the United States for education and training purposes.  In 2008, nearly 170 million Americans played computer games to achieve multiple learning goals, spending almost $12 billion.Just by playing a game, your brain becomes heavily stimulated w hile learning, and you simultaneously improve on other useful cognitive skills such as problem solving, memory, focus, mental agility andâ€"of courseâ€"language. So which language games should you play?Which Language Games Are Best to Play? All games are not created equally. There are definitely some games that are fantastic fun, while others will provide a more enjoyable way to learnâ€"but wont be as entertaining.A good language game should push you to enhance your speaking, listening, writing, reading, vocabulary and understanding of the target language. It should have longevity so you cannot become bored with the game in a short period of time. A lot of language games are designed to fit the criteria above and achieve more as well. You should definitely look for games created specifically for your target language, but here well share some of the top games currently out there that have versions for various languages.Duolingo  (Internet App)Native English speakers currently have 16 l anguages they can learn through Duolingo, but still not Japanese or Chinese. Native speakers of many Asian languages can still use the app to learn English, however, as the site can be used in 23 different languages. Its focus is on using speech, translations, spelling, visual queues and multiple choice to learn languages through an array of different games.Duolingo also allows you to play with other friends and keep in touch with them while they learn a language of their choice as well. Best Ways To Organize Your Rental Desk

Best Ways To Organize Your Rental Desk unsplash.com Keep it simple If constantly moving and changing desks, then this will definitely be a common guideline for you. Your goal is to keep your desk as simple as possible given it is only temporary, not permanent. This way, when you move or change desks, it is simpler to clean and store everything away. Plus, it is not necessary to set out framed photos, knickknacks, and a flower pot. Unless you truly want to transfer everything, which you most likely do not. The time extent of how long you have this desk really plays in to what you end up doing with it. If it is a months’ worth, then you can make it somewhat more cozy, as opposed to it being solely rented for a solid day. The idea is to keep the desk simple so that it does not kill you to move everything and that you do not have useless things surrounding you. No one wants that. Have mobile accessories This is probably the best way for an organized desk because it helps with items you do not need. Basically, why have a million accessories when you need about two of them at any specific time? No good reason. It is smart to store what you do need in a shoebox, or something similar. These items can and should include a stapler, tape dispenser, sticky notes, pens, and definitely Wite-Out. Of course this really depends on what your job or study needs are specifically, but I do not think you can go wrong with some staples and highlighters. They are always helpful and needed in life. Trust me. It makes your desk super organized because they do not have to sit out 24/7, and they actually have a place where they belong. None of them should be too heavy to move either because there are only a few items in general. So easy for desk hopping. unsplash.com Minimal is better This can closely relate to having close to zero items on your desk, but it also can mean with workload. In other terms, if you are renting per day, bring enough work for that day so as to not be overwhelmed, but also so you are not leaving work on your desk for the next day. You do not need an entire calendar for the year, an extra pair of shoes, or six excess binders. There is really no need for any of that, unless the day comes where you actually need one of them. In that case, run to the nearest drugstore, or sweat it out and worry about it the following day. No worries. This helps keep your desk very organized because once again, there is not a ton to move at the end of your lease. This is really the whole point because no one wants to waste time moving various desk items every day. Literally, every day. Given these rental desks are intended for people to not be easily stressed and to help them focus, why have a disarray of desk clutter? There is no need for it. This way, the less, all the more. Although renting a desk may still sound super irregular and strange to you, they are very useful for many people. Especially if you like quiet environments and really must get work done on a daily basis. It is obvious how to stay organized desk-wise, but imperative for many different reasons. You should want to keep it simple, purchase easy-to-move accessories, and keep a small amount of items overall. This way, moving from your rental desk is easy, cooperative and manageable. Orange You Glad Its October

Orange You Glad It's October Don’t you just love October? There’s a little chill in the air and pumpkins are everywhere. In my classroom, we have been studying pumpkins with a fierce intensity. My little Kinder Friends know how they grow, what they can be turned in to and know they are a symbol of Autumn and the harvest season. With all of this pumpkin work on our minds lately, I thought it would be very fun indeed to incorporate pumpkins in our language arts lessons. We just recently started discussing adjectives and working on describing items to stretch out our sentences. Today, we created the sweetest little pumpkin craft and used our new describing skills to make it extra meaningful.I found the most perfect little pumpkin template on Pinterest and quickly printed it. My amazing assistant cut out each pumpkin piece for our 24 Kinder Friends. After a whole group lesson and creating a list of adjectives that describe pumpkins in all of their glory, they got to work! Each student wrote the adjectives on the pumpkin pieces and once they were complete, the pumpkins were stapled together.A little brown pipe cleaner finished off the Autumn project. The teacher who created this craft had her older students use the pumpkins for a plot assignment, which would be equally as fabulous. This would also just be a fun craft to do at home on a rainy Saturday. If you decide to create these adorable, orange pumpkins, I am sure that you will whole heartedly enjoy them.

Organic Chemistry Tutor Electric Charge a Box

Organic Chemistry Tutor Electric Charge a BoxSo how does an organic chemistry tutor electric charge a box? Well, if you are an organic chemistry instructor, perhaps you have heard about some instructional aids called 'teacher guides' that are available on the market. They are basically textbooks that contain everything you need to teach and learn organic chemistry to your students. Some teachers use them exclusively, while others prefer to buy more than one set at a time to have a multi-leveled approach. When you choose to buy a teacher guide, you are actually buying a 'book.' This makes it very easy for you to teach a variety of subjects, because you can create, edit, and even print out different sections of a book without too much hassle. The downside is that the books are rather expensive. In comparison, books in organic chemistry are quite inexpensive. If you are just starting out with an organic chemistry class, you might not have the means to purchase your own teacher guide. Teaching organic chemistry can be quite easy if you know how to provide good feedback to your students. You can find different materials online where you can ask for feedback from your students. However, the best resources you can use are the ones that have been used by many other students. So just as you look at the different materials available in your local library, you should also do a comparison between what your students say and what is provided by a mentor. An organic chemistry tutor or mentor will not be all that difficult to locate. You can simply check online and search for certified organic chemistry teachers. These people have successfully taught different kinds of subjects and they know how to teach organic chemistry at a high level. Organic chemistry, being one of the oldest and most popular classes in universities, will require a great deal of dedication and time to succeed.

What Is Matter Chemistry?

What Is Matter Chemistry?Matter chemistry is the study of matter; it is used to describe and understand all physical interactions among molecules, atoms, and larger elements. It is a specialized branch of chemistry, closely related to materials science, and is used for studying all kinds of chemical reactions.Matter is a description of the products that are created from chemical reactions and the motions of molecules in an atom. The first idea of this kind of science was created by the French chemist Louis Agassiz. He identified a particular class of particles and named them 'molecules.'The most common type of chemical reaction is the generation of molecules, consisting of one element, such as oxygen or hydrogen, with the help of atoms of other elements (in which case the reaction is called the oxidation process). An example of this process is the oxidation of a molecule of nitrogen with oxygen. In matter chemistry, atoms are used to define chemical reactions. Molecules are analyzed t o determine what kind of reactions they will be creating.Interaction between two objects involves molecules, atoms, or ions that interact with each other. Particles can be in two different kinds: colloidal and non-colloidal. Colloidal and non-colloidal substances are those substances that dissolve in water and solid form. They are extremely stable and very easy to use in a chemical reaction.Colloidal particles dissolve into water when mixed with it, while non-colloidal particles can be dissolved by heat, pressure, and solvents. Some elements are colloidal, and the most popular colloidal is amyloid, which cause Alzheimer's disease in some people. All other types of particle are non-colloidal. In most cases, they are made of two metals, such as nickel and cobalt. They are used in industrial processes, as well as in medicine, where they are used as 'miniature' blood-letting instruments. The other term for non-colloidal particles is anodizing, and their properties are very similar to the actual particles, but they are usually used as diagnostic tools.

4 Academic To-Dos for This Semester

4 Academic To-Do's for This Semester If youre like many students, you rely on some version of a list to make the most of your semester. This may occur in the form of a calendar, a reminder on your smartphone, or a handful of yellow post-its. No matter what form your list takes, it is an important way to organize your academic life or at least narrow the focus of your priorities. Now is the perfect time to establish your goals for the semester. Here are four academic to-dos to keep in mind for this semester and how to achieve them: 1. Set academic goals One of the hardest parts of academic success is focus. Begin your semester by identifying goals youd like to achieve this semester. Write them down so youre more likely to work toward them. Find ways to hold yourself accountable and stay focused throughout the semester. However, it is important to keep your goals realistic. Earning a 36on the ACT is ideal, but a 30 is also fantastic, and could perhaps be achieved with some ACT tutoring. Dont beat yourself up if you achieve slightly less than perfection. Plus, make sure your goals fall into both personal and academic categories often, academic success is all about balance. 2. Organize your school life Theres nothing quite like a well-organized calendar, inbox, and note-taking system to propel you to academic success. The ideal time to foster habits to become a more organized student is before the semester begins, but its never too late to start. Mid-semester organization can boost your focus and preparation for midterms. Establish a way to keep yourself on track, either electronically or through a system of notes, tabs, or planners. Get used to writing everything down so that youre less likely to forget an assignment or test. 3. Identify your resources The perfect time to identify resources available to you is before you are struggling. This semester, focus on identifying potential problems before they arise, and work toward possible solutions. Now is the time to make a list (because youre organized, remember?) of places you can turn to for help. Perhaps your school has a center withwriting tutors or a peer mentorship program. Think about how these things may help you and make a connection early on. Then, when youre in need of some help, youll be comfortable seeking it out. 4. Find healthy ways to manage stress It can be difficult to have the foresight to plan for stress later on in the semester, but now is the time to do it. Figure out what helps you relax, and get into the habit of stress management now. Practice yoga, enjoy meditation, or spend 30 minutes reading for pleasure whatever puts you at ease. This way, when youre in a particularly difficult week, youll have a plan that will make your life easier. Many students manage stress by joining an extracurricular activity, which can help you manage academic stress in a number of ways. Not only will you reduce stress, but youre likely to meet new friends who can act as study partners. Planning for success may seem like a difficult task when there are so many variables, but it can be done by utilizing these academic to-dos for this semester. By approaching your semester with a list of things youd like to accomplish, staying organized, utilizing the resources available to you, and managing stress, youre working hard but youre also working smart!

It’s always important to remember the journey that you have taken with maths. In kindergarten, you would have struggled with basic math like Addition and subtraction, multiplication and division. In the primary grade math classroom, you may have struggled with a curriculum of times tables, adding and subtractingIn the early year s of high school math, you may have struggled with arithmetic, calculus, graphing, sequences, fractions and algebraic math concepts. Now you may be struggling with something else in your mathematics education, but like all of the times before if you focus and dedicate yourself. You will be able to grasp the new math concepts too. You may need to ask your math teacher for extra math help so that you can solve the math problem, or hire a tutor. This will lead you on to the road of mathematician mastery. As you know math is intricately made up of so many kinds of number systems; whole numbers, negative numbers, symbols, decimal points, Exponent numbers, i nfinite numbers and much more. You may know special numbers like Some of these special numbers are seen with Euler's e, the extraordinary number i, and of course the golden ratio. But what about Pi? Let's learn more about this special mathematical modeyou may have learnt about trigonometry. Photo Source: UnsplashIt is one of  the most important constants in mathematics, and it is also used in physics and engineering.Pi has been fascinating mathematicians and scientists since its discovery.Pi is even celebrated in USA popular culture celebrated on March 14 (3/14) every year.Mathematicians And The History Of PiPi has been studied for thousands of years. The Egyptians and Babylonians are known to have investigated pi first estimating that pi was 3.125. It is amazing that they were so close given that there were no calculators, computers or the internet to help them to solve the equation. In 220bc Archimedes the Greek mathematician set about to find out to measure pi accurately. He starte d his experiments by putting a square inside of a circle and a square outside of the circle. Doing some cool math, he got a range of number which gave him an estimation for pi. He then changed the squares for pentagons, and the number range got smaller and closer to pi. Then he replaced the pentagons with hexagons to get an even more precise estimation. He kept increasing the number of faces until he got to a 96 faced shape which got him to 2 decimal accuracy (3.14). This method has coined the method of exhaustion for obvious reasons.Chinese mathematician Liu Hui discovered pi to 4 digits of accuracy by using a shape with 3072 sides (3.141)Greek-Roman scientist Ptolemy used the method to get to 5 digits of accuracy (3.1415)Chinese mathematicians Zu Chongzhi and Zu Gengzhi discovered pi to 7 digits of accuracy by using a shape with 12,288 sides (3.141592)The modern-day record for pi calculations is held by Peter Trueb with 22,459,157,718,361 digits.Pi remains a mystery for scientists and fascinates professionals and amateurs alike who try to find out more about this number. Even today, research is being conducted to learn more about the Pi number.Find out more from a maths tutor near me.Now you may be struggling with something else in your mathematics education. Photo Source: UnsplashHow Is Pi Used?Pi is not just about distracting students who are studying college algebra in math class to learn ever more challenging formulas to pass their Math exams or just to use algebraic formulas to calculate the perimeter, area and volume of a circle. The number Pi has been used since antiquity by mathematicians, first to solve geometric problems, then in integral calculus and finally in the computation to calculate higher and higher decimals of Pi.The Role Of  Pi (?) In GeometryGeometry formulas involving Pi relate to  circles  and  spheres.Pi can be used to calculate:Area of a disc,Area of an ellipse of half-axes,Area of a sphere,Side area of a cylinder,The lateral area of a cone. And also volumes:The volume of a ball,Volume of a cylinder,Volume of a cone.
